A little bit about me.

Thanks for being here! I'm Yae Young Kim, a UI/UX designer based in Chapel Hill, NC.

I’m a product designer with a love for building digital experiences that are equal parts intuitive and intentional. I'm attending UNC Chapel Hill to study Computer Science and Studio Art—a mix that reflects how I think: structured yet expressive, technical yet visual.

Beyond the screen, I find creative fuel in handmade things—I bind books, collect zines, and am easily distracted in stationery stores. These slower forms of making help me stay grounded and remind me that good design doesn’t always need to be digital.

When I’m not designing or crafting, I’m probably out playing tennis (yes, even in 100-degree heat), overanalyzing a playlist, or grabbing yet another caffeine drink I absolutely know my body can’t handle. I believe personality belongs in product design—and that the best ideas often come when you're not trying too hard.
